MSU Basketball teams are enjoying newly renovated locker rooms in Breslin Center. Christman Construction, the group who managed both the University Village and the Snyder/Phillips projects, also headed up this renovation. Demolition of the old locker rooms began in early June 2007, and the project was completed by the start of basketball season in November 2007.

![]() With just days left before completion, final touches are being applied throughout all the locker rooms. Tile work and plumbing is completed (photo above, left), as well as most electrical. Light fixtures were being installed in the women’s locker room (photo above, right), and the TVs in the lounges are in process as well (photo right). Kitchens are nearly done in both locker rooms, with cabinetry, countertops, electrical and plumbing completed, and appliances being installed in the next few days. Final paint and wall finishes are being applied also. The coaches’ locker rooms are nearly completed as well, with just final touches going on now. Since the basketball teams will be using the locker rooms next week, this will probably be the last report on this project. |

![]() The men’s and women’s locker rooms are taking shape, with drywall work, tiling, and cabinetry. In the men’s locker room, wood lockers and cabinets are being installed (photo above, left) under the large domed ceiling (photo above, right). Drywall is up in the large meeting area outside the locker room, where space has been made to install the large plasma TV. The kitchen area has been prepared with drywall and plumbing; cabinetry will be coming soon. Tile work has also begun in both the men’s locker room, and the coaches’ locker rooms (photo right). The women’s locker room was being painted today. Progress will be swift over the next few weeks, as the project will be completed by November 1. |

![]() Concrete block has been laid, electrical, plumbing, and plaster is currently being installed, and tiling has already begun in the men’s locker room area. The men’s locker room will have a large circular area (photo below, left) for lockers, and the women’s will be an elliptical shape (photo below, right). Right now, it’s a little difficult to imagine how it will look, but the end result will be a beautiful combination of etched glass, terrazzo, carpeting, wood lockers, tile, granite countertops, and high-tech televisions befitting our championship teams. Stay tuned for the progress. ![]() |
